Is Pilates Helpful for Rehabilitation

Many times when we have people getting started with us they have a preexisting injury that hasn't been addressed.  With many people it's a nagging shoulder, knee or back.  Many times these issues are caused by imbalances within our bodies. There are many things that can cause these imbalances - It could be our posture, how we walk, bend over, sit you name it - it's the way we move.

This is where we feel Pilates comes in and is a great tool to get you back to your Best Self!

Pilates exercises promote an even musculature throughout the body by strengthening the core. The core is considered the "center" of the body and consists of the deep abdominal muscles along with the muscles closest to the spine. Pilates also emphasizes spinal and pelvic alignment, which is critical in teaching us to move the way we're supposed to move to avoid injury.

If you're suffering from a nagging something something we suggest you come in and explore some Pilates options.  You can get started with Private Sessions, Mat Classes or Group Equipment Classes.
