Romeo usually joins us for our 6:30pm classes and is beyond a pleasure to have. He's alway greeting everyone with a smile and if you're really lucky you might catch his slick dance moves!
A recent Story from Romeo and how he used his fitness
What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?
In 2012, the place I used to work at was attached to gym and I was able to go for free. At first, I was just doing my own thing during open gym and then of the trainers convinced me to pick up the bar and also try a WOD. After a few weeks, I felt dramatic changes in my strength, body weight, and attitude. I just had so much energy and it felt good.
What was your first impression? How has it changed?
My exact words were "you want me to do what now?" Now, my words are "I got this"
What was your first “bright spot”?
Back at CFO, the same trainer (Jeff) was working with me on my first deadlift 1RM. Every time I thought I was done, he kept saying you can do more and added more weight. After about two hours, I was lifting 325 lbs.What are you working on now?
I'm working on form, technique, and mobility. It makes so much difference when you are lifting the right way and saying "Oh wow, that's so much easier!" I'm also working on healthy habits.
What's your favorite CrossFit Reanimated memory?
My favorite CFR memory was the Tuff Stuff event. It was great helping out and watching everyone participate. Maybe I will work up the nerve to compete soon. Also, my first class with Michelle coaching. It was like old times back at CFO. She is one of the main reasons why I chose Crossfit Reanimated.
