What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?
Our daughter, Jess Bassi, had been asking us to try it for at least 3 years and I have to admit I was very intimidated by it. When CFR offered the Commit to Fit program Jess talked me into giving it a try. I remember telling Jess I would do it if we weren't going to do that "CrossFit stuff" because I wasn't trying to die. We started to integrate CrossFit moves into the workout and by the time the program was over I was hooked.
What was your first impression? How has that changed?
That it's not a competition. Everyone is so supportive of each other and friendly.
What was your first “bright spot”?
The first time I did the tire flip! That was awesome!
What are you working on now?
I've just begun working on kipping. I want to be able to do a pull up and it may take me a year to get there but I won't stop trying!
What’s your favorite CrossFit Reanimated memory?
Completing my first "family" workout with Lance, Jess and Peter.
