Favorite WOD: All, I like the variety.  I like the innocuous sounding names, but the intense workout they provide.

How long have you been CrossFitting? 4 months

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness? Posture has improved, shoulders have gone back, chest has thrust forward, waist has reduced, breathing has become deeper.  It has given me more energy.  My medical reports show drastic improvements.  

Cholesterol went down 5 points, Sugar Glucose went down from 197 to 157. 

What keeps you coming back? Great instructors, wonderful camaraderie, the variety of workout

We all find CrossFit in a different way. Where did your story start? I travel a lot, usually Mon thru Friday.  Lot of pressure at work which leads to late nights, lots of pizza dinners.  Also lots of team building events (read beer).  So I tried doing 30 min of treadmill or elliptical trainer every day.  But it was monotonous and not really helpful.  

Do you remember your First WOD? Oh yes!  I couldn’t even do one squat!  Now I do many with weights!

How did you end up at CrossFit Reanimated? I was driving by and on my way to YMCA to sign up.  I saw this place and decided to give it a try.  I had never heard of the Crossfit movement before and how it was sweeping the nation.  

What is your athletic background? None.  I was never an athlete.  

What is the One Thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? Squats

What motivates/inspires you? The wonderful instructors – Dan, Sara, Michelle and Matt.  And the changes that I and others see in my physical fitness.  Usually weekends were for sleeping.  But now I workout on weekends also.  Recently I lifted 50 mulch bags and spread them in our garden.  Didn’t get any back pain after that!  This would have been impossible before Crossfit.  

Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit? Want to be able to hand stand.

What goals have you achieved in CrossFit? I can do burpees, squats, row, jump box, just overall fitness.  

Hobbies/interests outside of CrossFit? Gardening and Magic.  I am a member of Society of American Magicians (SAM).
